Are you interested in becoming a Catholic or completing the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist)? If you're a Catholic seeking a deeper understanding of our tradition, you also are welcome to join in on RCIA sessions. The RCIA process is an opportunity for learning and spiritual transformation. Our group meets weekly. We also have a process for older children and teens who wish to enter the Catholic Church or who missed receiving Eucharist or Confirmation at the usual age. Please give our Director of Religious Education a call (570-254-9502) or send her an email message ([email protected]).
Join us for a bible study program with topics that vary through the seasons. Participants read and reflect a bit at home, then gather for discussion and a DVD. They meet at the Parish Office Building on Monday evenings; check the calendar for current topic and time. The only charge is for a participant book. For more information or to register, contact our Director of Religious Education, [email protected] or 570.254.9502 x3.
Getting away for a 5- or 10-day retreat is all but impossible for most parents and busy couples. However we can all manage a few minutes a day if we think our marriage and our prayer life deserve it. You can make this virtual retreat alone or with your spouse. That link also provides a printable format for the seven-day retreat. More seven-day marriage retreats are available on this Virtual Retreats page.
Women age 21 and older who want to renew their faith and deepen their relationship with God find that through Cornerstone. The experience takes you out of the hustle of daily life to relax and reflect. Those hours also enable you to meet and interact with other women. A Cornerstone experience is 25- to 27-hours long, from Friday evening dinner through Saturday evening Mass. Meals and lodging are provided.
Our parish is partnering with other parishes that have developed Cornerstone so that our women can attend their retreats. To register for the next Cornerstone Retreat, watch for the date here, download the brochure, fill out the registration panel, and mail it to the address given.
For further information, contact one of our local coordinators, Gloria Konzman and Rosanne Stracham. When you register please let Gloria and Rosanne know so we can organize transportation; use the form in the left column.
